affidavits, and more — and publish it in one place, in plain English, with instructions for filling each one out.
The site exists for a simple reason: the documents people need during a divorce are scattered across hundreds of state and county websites, each with its own format, instructions, and filing rules. We bring them
together, review them, and keep them current, so you don’t have to spend hours hunting for the right packet.
How the free forms work
Everything on this site is free and works the same way:
- Start at the divorce forms hub. You’ll find the full list of available forms, plus a general generator that builds a complete packet from a few simple answers.
- Choose your state. Every state has its own rules, so each state page lists the forms that apply there and notes the differences — residency requirements, waiting periods, and filing fees.
- Download, fill, and file. Forms come as fillable Word and PDF files. Complete the fields, sign where required, and submit the packet to your county clerk — in person, by mail, or through e-filing where it’s available. Each state’s court website explains its own filing process — for example, California’s self-help guide walks through starting a divorce case step by step.
